This course explores a consistent structure to whole-class reading teaching in Key Stage 2. With many schools moving away from domain-led approaches, we will consider a simple structured method, allowing for vocabulary and knowledge instruction, oracy approaches, fluency development and appropriate tasks without losing the engagement that comes from reading and studying a great text.
