Developing Greater Depth Writers in Years 5 and 6 – 23-24 – 10 October, 24 November 2023, 31 January and 13 March 2024
This course is specifically aimed at increasing the confidence of teachers to grow more GDS writers within their class. The practical nature will give plenty of ideas, approaches, activities and techniques that can be immediately implemented in their classroom. The course will take teachers on a journey across the academic year, focusing on key aspects of learning at the appropriate time.

Developing Greater Depth Readers in Years 5 and 6 – 23-24 – 8 January and 22 January 2024
This course will focus on maximising progress in reading for higher attaining pupils in Year 5 and 6. We will explore approaches to reading fluency, vocabulary development and comprehension, and how differentiation for higher attainers can be managed.
