    Securing Strong Foundations in Writing: Sentences and Paragraphs Across the Primary Phase

    Unlock composition at sentence and paragraph level – build subject knowledge and confidence in effective methods of teaching sentence structure, punctuation and paragraphs from the ground up.  

    All schools will be aware of the renewed emphasis on the importance of securing foundational skills and knowledge in all recent publications and advice from the DfE and Ofsted – this course is part of the HIAS offer focusing on how to ensure that pupils acquire and grow the fundamentals of writing across the primary age range (see also the course ‘Securing strong foundations in writing: handwriting and spelling across the primary phase).
